Reference Tray ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome extension designed to help users collect visual references from Pinterest and arrange them onto Google Slides presentations. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Reference Tray collects and processes only the minimum data strictly required to deliver the extension's core features:
Saved Visual References: Image URLs and source pin links that you explicitly choose to save to your Reference Tray.
Google Account Authentication: When you connect Google Slides, Chrome securely manages your OAuth access token using Google's official chrome.identity API. We never see, store, or log your Google password or account credentials.
Local Storage: All your saved reference images and user preferences are stored entirely locally on your device via chrome.storage.local.
No Third-Party Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics, tracking scripts, tracking pixels, or advertising frameworks.
When you click "Add all to current slide", the extension temporarily uploads your chosen reference images to your personal Google Drive under the restricted drive.file scope (which permits access only to files created by Reference Tray).
These temporary files are used solely to allow Google Slides' presentation engine to render the images onto your active slide.
Immediate Cleanup: Temporary image assets uploaded to Google Drive are automatically deleted once Google Slides finishes placing them on your slide.
No user data, images, or account information are ever transmitted to any external third-party server or sold.
storage: To save your reference items locally on your computer.
identity: To authenticate with your Google account via official Google OAuth.
contextMenus: To provide the right-click "Save image to Reference Tray" shortcut.
sidePanel: To display your visual reference tray in Chrome's side panel.
tabs: To detect the active Google Slides presentation URL.
https://*.pinterest.com/* & https://*.pinimg.com/*: To read and download Pinterest reference images you explicitly choose to save.
https://docs.google.com/presentation/*, https://www.googleapis.com/*, https://drive.google.com/*: To communicate with the official Google Slides and Drive APIs.
You can remove individual references at any time by clicking the "Ă—" button on any image card.
You can remove all saved references at any time by clicking "Clear all".
You can revoke Google account access at any time through your Google Account Permissions.
